Investors meet with Commissioner of Tourism to promote Rameswaram as a high-end beach destination. Participated by Mr Vikram Cotah, COO, GRT Group of Hotels, Mr Vijay, CEO of CGH Group of Hotels, Mr Murali, ED, Sangam Group of Hotels, Mr Bose Dharmalingam, MD, Ideal Group of Hotels, Mr Karunanidhi, MD, La Woods Hotel, Mr Farid, Land Owner, Aviation company Directors (Sea Plane) and Department officials. TTM society coordinated the meeting and Commissioner assured all support from Govt. It was a positive meeting and over 600 crores investment was assured to Govt to develop Rameswaram beach Tourism.

His Excellency Mr Panos Kalogeropoulos, The Ambassador of Greece to India had lunch on meeting at ITC Grand Chola yesterday with various industry people to identify the opportunities between two countries especially Tamil Nadu and in Tourism. CII organised the lunch and some of the key industrialists joined including TTM Society.

Tamil Nadu Tourism pavilion at the Defence Expo, Chennai. Only the Tourism Department had the privilege of having a pavilion to display the Tourism products in the Expo which will be attended over 40000 delegates from 60+ countries. TTM Society was privileged to work on designing the stall and promote Tamil Nadu.

With TTM’s continues efforts for the first time 22 Stakeholders participated in TTF Ahmedabad. We were able to accommodate all 22 with individually branded tables in a 4 side open pavilion of Tamil Nadu Tourism. As mentioned earlier TTM emphasised the need to participate in TTF Ahmadabad to COT and made it possible. Thanks to all the participants. There was a lot of appreciation from all corners for the coordinated efforts. Thanks to our ACS, Commissioner Tourism and Department officials for the opportunity.

Mr Panyala Bhoopathi Reddy, Chairman Telangana Tourism Development Corporation and Managing Director Mr B. Manohar visited and greeted at Tamil Nadu stall in TTF, Hyderabad. Tamil Nadu pavilion which is coordinated by the TTM Society is the most active stall at the TTF, Hyderabad. 15 stakeholders participated for the very first time under one umbrella. Sellers and Byers were extremely happy and its an eye opener for the Telangana market. We have been awarded for the “Best Group Participation”. Tamil Nadu Pavillion at ITB Berlin was inaugurated by Sri Yogendra Tripathi, IAS, Secretary Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India, and Smt Meenakshi Sharma, IAS, Addl Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India this morning. 15 Co-exhibitors from Tamil Nadu participated this time and TN is the most happening stall in India pavilion. MOT Secretary and many others appreciated the attractive stall and participation which was coordinated by TTMS.

TTM Society Members attended “Iyal Isai Museum Edutainment Series” organised by Director of Museums, Ms Kavitha Ramu, IAS, in Egmore Museum today. Hon Minister for Arts & Culture delivered a brilliant keynote address and a lot of learning as usual and on Govt’s proactive moves in upgrading Museums and other facilities. Minister appreciated the TTM Society for the PPP model in his speech and requested to sign an MOU with the Arts & Culture Dept to promote Tourism. UNESCO recently announced Chennai as “ a Creative City for Music” and it’s a pride for all of us and a USP for selling TN. It was a great effort by the Department of Museums and we all should work with them in making Chennai Museum to the world’s best in the coming days

Tamil Nadu pavilion at FITUR Madrid, Spain. The layout was appreciated by everyone and ADG, India Tourism personally congratulated. TTM gave various inputs on layout which includes exhibitor's name, meeting space etc. Dr Harsh Varma, Director, UNWTO and Commissioner Tourism at Westin Palace Hotel, Madrid. Dr Varma is very keen on promoting TN in the global market and wants to have a discussion with us. He pointed out that only two states in the country where industry and Government come together in one umbrella which is Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He has given various inputs to Commissioner and assured his support in promoting Tamil Nadu. Its a very positive meeting and TN Govt expects TTM to play a key role in promoting Tourism in the coming days.

Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet (GIM 2019) successfully concluded. We are glad to inform that TTM coordinated an investment of 852 Crores in the Tourism sector and instrumental in including the Tourism industry in GIM for the first time. More than 10 investors from Tourism industry signed MOUs in yesterday event in the presence of Hon Chief Minister. This MOU will help our investors to get all clearances in the Single Window system in a Fastrack process since it’s signed in GIM. Hon CM, Hon Minister for Tourism, Addl Chief Secretary and many others from Government appreciates TTM’s efforts to make it happen. We thank all the investors who came forward to invest in Tourism projects like Resorts, hotels and other areas. We thank Government of Tamil Nadu, specially Guidance Bureau officials, Special officer GIM, Addl Chief Secretary Industries, Addl Chief Secretary Tourism, Commissioner Tourism and Department officials in extending all support.

“Arusuvai an introduction to Tamil Cuisine” 3rd edition was released by Shri Apurva Varma IAS, Principal Secretary Tourism, in a function at IHM Chennai 15th Nov. Book was presented by Celebrity Chefs and IHM under the leadership of Shri Rajmohan, Principal. This gave us the thought that Tamil Cuisine is our strength in marketing Tamil Nadu as a destination in the coming days. TTM will certainly carry this value add an element in Tourism promotion with the support of IHM Chennai. Thanks and congrats to the whole team for their great effort in bringing the 3rd edition. 💐💐 A lot of research done on Tamil Nadu Cuisine by Team IHM and the Chefs in various towns. Exe Chefs who have contributed to the book includes: Chef Varun Mohan, ITC Grand Chola Chef Anand Leo, Hotel Turia Chef Ashok, Residency Group Chef Virgil James, SKB & JOOT Chef Devakumar, Crowne Plaza, Chennai All hotels in Tamil Nadu should promote one such regional dish to promote Tamil Nadu as a destination for Culinary.

International Yoga Day Celebrations at IHM, Chennai organized by India Tourism and Tamil Nadu Tourism in association with IHM Chennai, Isha Yoga and TTM Society. Mamallapuram shortlisted to be developed under the 10 Iconic Tourist Destination by the Govt of India. On 30th May a “Stakeholders Consultation Meeting for Development of Mamallapuram” conducted by MOT and State Govt. Tamil Nadu Tourism Department along with TTMS participated GITB, Jaipur from 22 to 24th April 2018 for the first time. Though more than 12stakeholders shown interest to participate we were able to clear entry for only 10 establishments due to unavailability of space and last minute. However, it was a good learning and we will do our best next time. We have personally invited Hon Tourism Minister, Secretary Tourism, ADG Tourism, Jt Secretary Tourism and Addl Chief Secretary Rajasthan Govt to TN pavilion. Minister appreciated all stakeholders for their active participation. MOT officials also congratulated all stakeholders.

TamilNadu Travel Mart Expo, a three-day event with more than 250 Exhibitors showcasing the business opportunities in Tourism the state has to offer under the four ancient Kingdoms CHERA, CHOLA, PANDYA and PALLAVA.

We are glad to inform Hon Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu given his consent to inaugurate TTM 2017 on 12th Oct 2017, at Confluence Banquets & Resorts, Mahabalipuram. It’s great news on World Tourism Day for the Travel fraternity. The delegation met CM at his residence last evening including Hon Minister for Tourism, Principle Secretary and Commissioner of Tourism.

Tamil Nadu Travel Mart Society is organising the 1st edition of the Tamil Nadu Travel Mart and the inauguration held on 12th October 2017 and followed by 3 days expo that was conducted in Chennai Trade Centre. The event was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Department of Tourism, Government of Tamil Nadu.
